Environmental Policy

The management of PDM Training and Consultancy Ltd (PDM) recognises that our activities have an environmental impact and in developing this policy we seek to confirm our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint and waste generation, whilst minimising our use of resources through a programme of sustainable procurement.

This Policy statement recognises the requirement on PDM to set targets within its ‘Environmental Improvement Plan’ by which our efforts towards sustainable environmental improvement can be measured and monitored on a regular basis.

Scope of Policy

PDM is committed to minimising the impact of its operation on the environment by means of a programme of continuous improvement and will:

  • Fully comply with environmental regulations. Where no regulations exist PDM shall set its own exacting standards to monitor and maintain environmental systems.
  • Ensure that environmental considerations are integrated into our business decisions and plans.
  • Ensure that we use risk assessments in order to identify potential environmental risks to our businesses.
  • Actively pursue opportunities to minimise the environmental impact of our operations, concentrating particularly on the use of transport, energy, waste disposal, water discharges, company consumables and disposables.
  • Attempt to develop a wider understanding of environmental issues among our suppliers and employees.
  • Set environmental targets and goals designed to improve our environmental performance.
  • Seek to address its impact on the environment through the adoption of a sustainable procurement policy.
  • Work with our suppliers to ensure they recognise and reduce the environmental impact of their products and transportation.
  • Conduct an annual self-evaluation of its performance in implementing these principles and in complying with all applicable laws and regulations.
