Business Administration NVQ2 Certificate

Classroom Hours: 8hrs
Private Study Hours: 30 hrs

This qualification is designed for administrative staff in all sectors of industry and commerce. It is particularly suitable for candidates working in an office environment in any of the following roles:

  • Junior Assistant
  • Receptionist
  • Office Assistant
  • Contact Centre Operator
  • Administrator

To achieve a full Level 2 Certificate in Business Administration you must complete a minimum of 21 credits. 9 of these credits will come from the mandatory units and a further 12 credits to come from the Optional units selected.

Mandatory Units:

  • Manage own performance in a business environment
  • Improve own performance in a business environment
  • Work in a business environment
  • Communicate in a business environment

Optional Units:

There is a vast selection of over 70 units to choose from. Your assessor will help you in selecting these however a small example is:

  • Solve business problems
  • Design and produce documents
  • Support the organising of meetings
  • Make and receive calls
  • Developing a Presentation
  • Provide reception services 
  • Using Word Processing Software
  • Using Spreadsheet Software
  • Ordering products and services
  • Conducting reception duties
  • Store and retrieve information
  • Preparing text from notes

This qualification is competence based therefore you are assessed on your ability to conduct and meet the national occupational standards set for your selected program. Candidates can normally expect to complete this qualification over a 10 -16 week period.
