Transport Training

20110608084740-iStock000014656472XSmall.jpgPDM is able to offer a comprehensive range of recognised training courses and qualifications for Bus, Coach, Private Hire, Hackney and Community Transport Operatives.

For drivers operating Buses & Coaches professionally throughout the UK, Driver CPC is a scheme designed to improve road safety and the knowledge and skill set of all professional drivers. This EU Directive requires that a total of 35 hours Periodic Training must be completed every five years to keep the Driver CPC valid. CPC was introduced in September 2008 and so by 2013, 35hrs of training should have been completed.

Increasingly drivers of Private Hire, Hackney and Community Transport are required to demonstrate/benchmark their sector knowledge, skills and competence – many local licensing authorities now recognise BTEC and NVQ qualifications as the industry standard and there are various vocational routes open to drivers that are designed on the needs of the industry.

PDM provides approved and accredited training courses for existing Transport Professionals and also for those wishing to enter and pursue a career in the Transport Industry. Our training can be tailored to meet the specific requirements of a broad range of occupational sectors and our short BTEC training courses can be complemented by a variety of National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) to benchmark and validate formal training and performance.
