This qualification is designed for staff whose working environment may require them to deal with verbal abuse at work. It will provide them with the skills to: Assess and reduce the risk of conflict and violence in the work environment Identify behaviour that indicates an escalation towards violence and take appropriate measures to avoid or calm and defuse the situation Provide post incident support and use the circumstances of the incident for personal and organisation learning The Level 2 qualification comprises an element of pre-study and an element of practical skills training.
